TERRAERA
Designed to redefine sustainable cooling. Crafted with natural materials like Terracotta, Bamboo, Charcoal and Metal, Terraera combines timeless cooling principles with modern functionality. Purifying air and creating a refreshing ambiance, both indoors and out, for residents of Southern Italy, who suffer from dry summers.
It started with a simple observation: Our modern spaces, whether offices or homes, are increasingly reliant on energy-intensive solutions to stay cool. Air conditioners hum day and night, guzzling electricity, straining power grids, and leaving behind a hefty environmental footprint.
We asked ourselves, “What if cooling didn’t come at such a cost?” Could we create a solution that is gentle on the planet and equally kind to our health and pockets?
IDEATION
It began with a simple goal:
to conserve energy using natural cooling methods. Inspired by processes like the Venturi effect and shishi-odoshi, we designed a bamboo frame with charcoal for purification. Evolving into a portable floor cooler with wheels, The product embodies eco-friendly innovation and sustainability.
